Spring has been just gorgeous here in Georgia, and now the beautiful month of June is just days away.

We have some really special stitching treasures for you this summer. They have been in production for several months and will soon be making their way to the shops (June 25th).

JN190 • Limited Edition
Gilded Dragonfly - Here is a spectacular new scissor purse with matching fob. It replaces our retired Dragonfly Scissor Purse from 2001. This Limited Edition piece is stitched entirely in silk (no conversions) on 28 CT Flax Cashel Linen.

Our kit includes the color leaflet, embellishments, overdyed wool, silk braid, snap, interfacing and complete finishing instructions. The embellishments include beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals and both dragonfly charms. Nan has included easy instructions for the wool and silk pink rose she created for the back of the purse.

The featured thread is Gilt Sylke Twist, developed by Access Commodities for the Plimoth Plantation jacket project. This thread has not been in a stitcher's hands since the reign of Elizabeth I. There is nothing comparable out there, and Nan is the first counted thread designer to use it.

Your shop can provide the silk kit for you. It will include Soie d'Alger, sufficient Grene Gilt Sylke Twist for the project, and the metallic twisted cord used in the finishing.

You will use the silks for stitching and for finishing (the soft green silk cord for the fob, for instance), so this silk kit is not meant for multiple projects. There is only enough of the Grene GST thread to make silk kits for the Gilded Dragonfly, making it even more exclusive and desirable!

Sizzle Tin - This is the second Over The Top tin in our 2008 collection. Since the paper on the tin features ladybugs, bees and daisies, they all made it into the design for the lid! However, Lady Scarlet insisted on the red and black ribbon, and we agreed that it looked very sizzling.

You will receive the tin, chipboard circle, interfacing & fleece, beads, ribbon and all finishing instructions.

Sizzle Pinwheel - You have to have this to put In The Tin! Note that there is a different design for each side of the 'wheel" and that we have used that wonderful ladybug ribbon again.

The kit includes 2 chipboard circles, fleece, interfacing, ribbon, and easy finishing instructions. You provide the pins!
   


For those of you who have been patiently waiting, more Barnabee's Bride (Bella Bee) and Sparkling Iris frames are expected any moment. We will have them flying out the door to the shops as soon as we receive them. We are in "stand-by" mode!

We will continue this wonderful stitching year in August with new Christmas offerings and the "Boo" Over The Top tin and In The Tin accessory. Look for a Halloween ornament from Nan in the September issue of Just CrossStitch magazine. PLUS, even more designs are planned for September and October!
